Emergency and GI issues...

We have been dealing with Dave's GI issues since April last year. In September he went and the Doctor finally ordered some tests. It was concluded that he has a stenosis(a narrowing) of his esophagus into his stomach but further testing was required. The doctor presumed that it was from too much acid reflux and put Dave on a very strong medication and a urgent GI call list(supposedly to have a call and consultation in less than a month). In the following 5 weeks Dave has lost 25lbs, been to the Doctor twice.

This past weekend, he started getting chest pain and some difficulty breathing. So Sunday morning we packed up the boys and took them to our good friends Brandy and Jon's house and then proceeded to PLC emergency. We patiently waited our turn(7hrs) and they took Dave in around 6pm, I wasn't allowed to go back to the area he was in but figuring that they would do some tests I went to pick the boys up and take them to my mom's. I had been gone maybe 30minutes and I get a phone call from Dave saying that they discharged him. They poked and proded through his sweater and his shirt and then said "Well, what would you like us to do?".

Frustrated, Dave ended up going to his Doctor again yesterday and got more results. His Doctor told him to stop taking the medication since it obviously wasn't working, told him that he would look into the GI specialist and that he would call him back yesterday afternoon. We recieved a call from Dr. Yuen(Dave's Doctor) and he called the on-call GI specialist and said that they would be calling and booking an appointment for this afternoon. By 330pm the specialist's office called and we have a endoscopy appointment for this afternoon at 130pm! I am not holding my breath for results today but at least the scope will be done and we are on the way to remedy hopefully.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers this afternoon!
