Update

Well all is going well except for one little hiccup.
First I will tell you about the good...Dave had another CT scan on March 13. This showed improved response to the cancer!!! YEAH!!! Enough to have 2 surgeons wanting to operate. First we have to get a PET scan(fancy imaging) unfortunately there is only 2 in Alberta(one in Edmonton and one in Calgary) and the demand is high(I don't have any pull there). It was supposed to be 5-6 weeks...God intervened and Dave is having this test tomorrow afternoon.
The hiccup...Well on March 15 Dave started feeling nauseated and having some increased pain. We wrote it off since we were all feeling yucky. Unfortunately, this did not decrease. Wednesday when we saw the Doctor, he thought that it may be caused from the feeding tube and possible acid sloshing(the tube would be restricting the normal sphincter closing). So he postponed chemo, told us to increase his pain patch, pulled the feeding tube and gave him something for the heartburn/acid flow. We were to resume chemo again on Friday but he was still having pain and nausea, so we postponed until Monday. On Sunday, I called homecare and shared concern. Dave was told to stick to clear fluids, count the pain shots and keep them apprised. We did this and at the end of the day he was batting about 10 breakthough shots. They called Dr. Easaw on Monday morning. He said to come in for chemo but he wanted to see us first. He was concerned. He ordered an Ultrasound and said to up the patch again(100mg/hr fentanyl). We discussed chemo and all decided that it was best to hold off until we know what is going on. Dave should be getting better and not having increased pain, again a mystery. We had the Ultrasound done today and came home. Dave has the increased patch but is still needing break throughs. We have the PET scan tomorrow and will talk to the Doctor again tomorrow.
We know that God is intervening and that we are on his time.

On and side note: Caleb is doing amazingly well at potty training!! Noah is cutting his eye teeth(all at once) and projectile vomitting.
