This year Halloween was a little bit sad. There was no zookeeper for the animals. Dave was thought of often especially when both boys were wearing pirate eye patches of their own volition. We had a 2 day affair. Friday Caleb had a 'Noah's Ark' party at school so both boys had their costumes on all-day friday! They were just so cute! Caleb was a Lion with a big "roar" and Noah was a stinky skunk!
Saturday came and it started the best way, A HUGE SLEEP IN!!!! We got up at about 930am and puttered around the house, cleaning, sorting candy, making goodie bags to pass out, getting our costumes on we were busy but fun busy! Caleb decided that he wanted to be an Elephant on Saturday(He was that last year) and I told him that he couldn't be an elephant without knowing what an elephant said. Was I surprised when he let out this loud elephant trumpet with the hand gestures to boot! So Mike and I packed the Elephant and the skunk up and headed out for the first stop of the day! We went to Mike's friends in Airdrie to a pumpkin carving party. Following that we headed to Mike's Aunt and Uncles in Airdrie. We finally ventured home to have some good friends come over with their little man. We had a pizza, took the boys out trick or treating, handed out some candy, and watch the ball game! What a wonderful evening! I have never seen a little guy so eager to hand out Candy! Caleb would run to the door and grab the candy and pass it out with a "Happy Halloweeeeenn!". It was too cute. It didn't take long and Lincon was in on it too! What a wonderful evening!
It was a nice day to be living life and enjoying it and still be remember the great memories too! God is good!
